It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kimberly Marie Alexander who lost her courageous battle with lung cancer on March 20, 2026. Kimberly Marie Alexander was born August 13, 1966, to Louise M. Mitchell of Muskegon, Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her granddaughter Maricela Alejandra Garcia. Kim is survived by her mother Louise Mitchell and Mark Sturm, her children Eric Martinez, Johnathan Alexander, Holly Alexander, Marisa Garcia, Filiberto Garcia Jr and 16 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, her brother Scott and Glenna Mitchell, her sister Sonya (Mitchell) and Luis Ascencio.
Kim's battle was a short one, but she was a very strong person, her strength was quiet and showed us that she would fight till the end. Kim had a beautiful soul who lived life to the fullest and a beautiful person inside and out that always helped everyone know matter how bad the situation was before she helped herself. She loved lottery tickets, spending time with family and friends, dancing through the years, cookouts, casino trips and much more. Her favorite saying was "I can't stand you guys", but she loved all of us very much. Kim's jokes, her stories and laughter will be forever embedded in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be announced later, please check back for details. Memorial contributions may be directed to her daughter, Marisa Garcia.
