Larry J. Burmeister's Obituary
Larry John Burmeister, age 82, passed away Monday, March 30, 2020, at Lake Woods Nursing Home, with his long-time love by his side, Kimberly Burmeister. He was born February 17, 1938, in Ludington, the son of Harvey Burmeister and Maudelaine Cogswell.
Larry was a member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. He loved playing sports, woodworking, painting and was an avid fisherman.
Larry is survived by: long-time partner, Kimberly Burmeister; his children, Terri Burmeister of Manistee, Michael and Tammy Burmeister of Manistee, Leslie Schullo of Muskegon, Jon and Emily Burmeister of Muskegon, and Jen Morton of Muskegon; grandchildren, Christopher Burmeister and Shawn Fisk, Donald Burmeister and Rosemary Reyes, Amanda Turner, Austin Schullo and Emily Schullo, Justine Wallace and Connor Burmeister, and Skyler Morton; siblings, Caroline Gardner, Glen Burmeister, Marva Tyrrell, Delores Hillger, Leo Ennis, and Alan Burmeister; and many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Larry was preceded by parents, Harvey Burmeister and Maudeline Burmeister; sister Delia Cogswell.
Graveside services will be conducted at Elbridge Township Cemetery, 3802 144th Ave Hart, MI 49420 on Saturday August 1, 2020 11am

A luncheon and a visitation will follow the Graveside Service at Michael and Tammy Burmeisters home at 6945 Pine Creek Rd. Manistee MI 49660.
