Larry E. Clements' Obituary
On Monday, September 19, 2022, we said goodbye to Lawrence (Larry) Eugene Clements (92) of Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon in 1930 to Edward and Bertha (Bogue) Clements and was a lifelong resident. He was preceded in death by Sally, his wife of 61 years and is survived by his children; Kevin (Char), Kelly (Sue), Kerry (Robbie), and Kayle (Suzy), six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Larry began sweeping floors at Dana Printing at age 15. He entered their apprentice program becoming a printer and retired 45 1/2 years later. He spent many years working part-time at the LC Walker Arena, and served in the Army National Guard.
He and mom raised a family and provided a home filled with joy and laughter. Dad never hesitated to be silly or goofy to bring a smile and a laugh. Ours was a home filled with frequent visits from family and friends, enjoying their warmth and humor. He had a twinkle in his eye and a grin that was infectious and you couldn't help but be in a good mood when he was near.
He coached little league baseball and was a bowler for many years. He discovered golf during retirement and loved being on the course, especially when playing with his sons. He and Sally traveled often and enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Dad was a great whistler and loved music and seeing his kids performing on stage.
He was kind and gentle. Silly and happy-go-lucky. Quick to lend a hand, supportive and caring. Contributions in memory of Larry may be made to Christian Care.
