Larry Francis Miller of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born on October 10, 1941, to Francis A. Miller and Ethelyn (Hinds) Miller, who raised him in a loving home on 6th Street in Muskegon.

Larry's life was lived in service to others. He could always be counted on for a kind gesture & support to his friends (of which there are too many to count), his family, and the community in which he lived. After graduating Muskegon Heights High School in June of 1960, Larry went to work at Shaw Box Industries where he worked until his retirement. Larry served his country by enlisting into the US Army, serving until 1966. His service to his community continued as a lifelong member of the Eagles Club as well as a council member and superintendent of Sunday school at Bethlehem Lutheran in Muskegon Hts. Larry continued to share his faith with the congregation of St. Mark Lutheran in Norton Shores Michigan. Larry found the love of his life and married Gloria D. (Erickson) on March 22, 1975, moved to a house on Larch in Muskegon where he raised and nurtured his family for the next 50 years. Larry's kindness, dedication and love lives on in all of the people his life influenced. He was always happiest when he could see those whom he loved were joyful and content.

Larry is survived and remembered by his wife Gloria D. Miller, sons: Dennis (Julia) Dufon of Drummond Island, MI., Trent (Laura) Dufon of Muskegon, MI., Bradford (Lisa-deceased) Miller of Grand Rapids, MI. Daughter; Denise Dufon of Denton, MD. Sisters: Kay (Timothy) Schouten, Jean (Anthony) Hladki, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Ethelyn Miller, mother/father in-law Robert and Dorothy Erickson; daughter-in-law Lisa R. Nowak; brother-in-law James Visser Sr.; nephew James Visser Jr. and niece Amanda Cortes.

A Service for Larry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, located at 4475 Henry Street, Norton Shores. Inurnment will take place at St. Mark Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
