Larry James Slusser's Obituary
Larry J. Slusser, age 79, was born on November 28, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Russell and Bessie Ann Slusser. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sue Gentry Slusser.
Larry is a 1961 graduate of Reeths Puffer High School and served in the United States Air Force. Larry worked as an Air Traffic Controller and retired from Howmet. After retirement he spent several years in Naples, Florida, running a Stained-Glass Creation Studio.
Survivors include his daughter, Amy (Mike) Grevel; son, Eric J. Slusser; their mother, Mary L. Slusser; four grandsons, Brett (Corina) and Andrew Grevel, Jonathon and Alex Slusser; brother, Rick (Karen) Slusser of Florida; sisters, Jill Diller of Arizona and Kathi Genson of Lakewood Club, Michigan; along with many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service with Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Don Rea VFW Post 8846, located at 1061 Witham Drive, North Muskegon. Visitation begins at 11:00 with a word of prayer at 11:30 and Military Honors at 11:45 followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Twin Lake Fireworks Fund as it was one of Larry's favorite things. TTLF 6485 Lake Road Twin Lake, Michigan 49457
