Larry Lee Smith Sr.'s Obituary
Larry Lee Smith Sr. aged 76 was born in Muskegon on December 1, 1944 to the late William and Hazel Smith and passed away at home under the loving care of his family and Harbor Hospice on October 21, 2021. Larry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan Smith; children, Theresa (Randy) Huston, Larry Lee Smith Jr., Todd (Christine Nowakowski) Johnson, Timothy (Stephanie) Smith, and Julie Smith; fourteen grandchildren, Erik, Alyssa, Ryan, Brittany, Justin, Nathan, Jessica, Brooke, Sarah, Brenna, Ava, Riley, Jordan, Jayson; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Ted Smith, Joyce Walker, Gerald Smith, Judy (Kelsey) Priest, Lynda Hand, Carl (Sharon) Smith, June Smith and sister-in-law, Marsha (Ernie) Taylor.
Larry is a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War and was a retired truck driver.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Don Rea VFW Post 8846 located at 1061 Witham Road in North Muskegon. (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF LOCATION). Larry will receive Military Honors starting at 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to West Michigan Veterans.
