Lavette Marie Powers' Obituary
Ms. Lavette Marie Powers age 52 passed away on December 4, 2022. was born on February 20, 1970, to Jeffrey Haskins and the late Beverly Briggs. Lavette worked for Epi Breads and provided cleaning services prior to her falling ill.
She leaves to cherish, her husband Richard Powers; two sons, Willie (Caprice) Briggs, Devonte Smith, two daughters, Khyla (Te'Asia) Pearce, Antasia White; grandmother, Dessie Haskins; step-father, Tommy (Jane) Brown, step-mother, Charlotte Haskins; four sisters, Donette (Willie) Williams, Tameka Smith, Tamara and Teenya Brown; three brothers, Kyle and Ka'wan Haskins, and Tommy Brown; five grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; along with a special friend Rod Pittman. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tasha Smith; three aunts, Gail Sotello, Barbara Dooley, and Sonja Brown Evans; four uncles, Ernest, Stanley, Donald Smith and Anthony Brown, and her grandparents.
A Celebration of Life Gathering and Visitation will be held at Shoreline Memorial Services, 137 E. Laketon Ave. on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
