Lawrence W. Luce Sr. age 89 was born on July 26, 1928 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Russell C. and Lizzie Luce and passed away on February 1, 2018. Lawrence is survived by four children, Lawrence (Kim) Luce Jr., Victor C. (Mary) Luce Sr.; Darren S. (Barbi) Luce, and Tracey L. (Roger) Cochran; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents Lawrence was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Luce. Lawrence was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korean Conflict from 1950 until 1952. His family remembers him as a hard worker, a jack of all trades, self-taught engineer, auto mechanic and carpenter willing to lend a hand to family and friends. He very much enjoyed tools, drawing, and spending time with family. He was a faithful man of God, kind, friendly and eager to share a smile. He attended St. Thomas Catholic Church and was retired from Clarke Floor Machine. Private family services have been held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence.
