LeRoy Andrew Haas "Andy" "Drew"
He has passed from our lives but will be ever present with each of us as we try to live the rest of our little lives to make him proud. "It's the special people we meet along life's road who help us appreciate the journey."
Andy is a loving brother, father, grandfather, and great grandpa. Andy is a good friend to everyone who knew him.Andy spent time traveling America on the Harley with his buddies and family. He loves the USA and always bought "Made in America" before it was cool to do so.
After high school, Andy hitchhiked to Las Vegas to see Evil Knievel jump the Grand Canyon. When he got back home, he was drafted to serve in Vietnam. He preached PEACE, always drawing a peace sign after his signature.
Andy retired as an Iron Worker. He is a long-standing member of the VFW and played pool most Wednesdays on Apple Ave.Andy grew up at Wolf Lake and so became King of "the Lakers". So, such a handsome man. And that smile would melt your heart. Wolf Lake, his friends and his memories from that time held strong ties to his heart.
Survivors, Andy has one daughter, Andrea Lea Rose and because of that one child he had his life enriched with four grandchildren and one bonus grandchild. Brock, Trenton, Travis, Kira and (bonus) Levi. These four grands then added nine great grands to his life. He is LOVED by many. You may notice that we chose to not use the PAST-TENSE...He is LOVED.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the VFW Post 7729 located at 6285 E. Apple Ave. Muskegon, Michigan starting at 2:00 p.m. Military Honors will be presented at 2:30 p.m. please join us to Celebrate Andy's long life in Wolf Lake. Come celebrate with us and show some BIG LOVE for Andy.
