Lisa Marie Larsen's Obituary
Lisa Marie Larsen, age 63, was born on January 20, 1963, and passed away on May 26, 2026, at her residence in Muskegon, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas M. and Jean M. (Schwanke) Larsen and her husband, William T. Ricketts. Survivors include her three older brothers, Mike & Mary Kay Larsen of Kalkaska, Michigan, Tom and Paula Larsen of Northlake, Texas and Steven Larsen of Scottsdale, Arizona; seven cousins; nine nieces and nephews. Lisa was a loyal member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Lisa was a warm and generous soul, who, like her father, loved talking with people, especially total strangers. Lisa's booming laugh was infectious and could be heard from quite a distance at times. Her outgoing and bubbly personality allowed her to make great friends everywhere she went. Lisa loved the outdoors and she was an avid walker and loved to ride her bike.
Lisa was a 1981 graduate of Mona Shores High School. Upon graduation, Lisa worked helping run a local pizza shop. She then attended the Barbizon School of Advanced Modeling in Michigan. Lisa moved to the Scottsdale, Arizona area in the early 1990's and worked a number of jobs, starting in the hospitality industry where she prided herself in being a loyal, dedicated and hard-working employee. Lisa later got into the property management field and was a live-in property manager for several years in the Cave Creek/Scottsdale area. Her clients loved and trusted Lisa with their second homes, and Lisa gave them excellent service. She enjoyed life in AZ for nearly 40 years. Lisa moved from the deserts of Arizona to the sunshine state of Florida in 2017. For 8 years Lisa lived in the same park as her brother Mike and his wife Mary Kay. She worked part time at the local Publix store where she handed out food samples and helped older people get their groceries to their cars.
In 2020 Lisa met her soon to be husband who also lived in the same park. They were married later in 2020 and lived in the mobile home that Lisa had purchased and fixed up. It was the first time she had ever owned a home, and she was very proud of her place and always had it impeccably clean and neat.
Sadly, in 2022 her husband Billy passed away at home after a long battle with COPD and heart issues.
Lisa loved being around the water, especially after living in Arizona for so many years. Fresh water or salt water, Lisa loved them both along with their sandy beaches.
Lisa continued to live in her home in Florida for 2 more years until Hurricane Milton flooded her home and she was forced to move. Lisa had always considered moving back to her roots in Michigan. In July of 2025 she made the decision to move back and once again made Muskegon her home.
She was extremely grateful to her best friend Mary Glibert, her husband Bob, cousins Pam Stegall and Mary Bratherton who helped her move into her new apartment and get settled.
Lisa has suffered from poor health for the last few years and now is free from suffering. She can now rest peacefully alongside her parents and her husband Billy.
There will be no showing or funeral, a Celebration of Life will be held later.
