Lorita G. "Petie" Herrick's Obituary
Herrick, Lorita G. "Petie" age 90 was born on April 30, 1928 in Edmore, Michigan to the late G. George and Edith B. (Mascho) Sheldon and passed away at home on September 1, 2018. Along with her parents Petie was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Donald R. Herrick. Surviving is her son, Gregory P. (Patricia) Herrick of Spring Lake; grandchildren, Phillip (Amber) Herrick, Benjamin (Sarah) Herrick, Stacy (Robert) Frees, Karianne (Josh) Baum, Tammi (Michael) Bartz, Brad (Jill) Sova; 15 great-grandchildren; her brother, Gordon P. (Dorothy) Sheldon, of South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews; favorite, faithful friend and protector, Tucker. She was also preceded in death by a sisters, Betty Spoelma, Bonnie Umlor, and Mary Metzler. Petie enjoyed visits to the Casino, Bingo, crochet, and family activities. She especially enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching, walking, and picking up coins! According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
