Lyle A. Hammond's Obituary
Lyle A. Hammond age 90 was born on February 16, 1927 in Cadillac, Michigan to the late Wilbur and Josephine Hammond and passed away on February 6, 2018. Lyle is survived by his wife of 33 years, Theresa (Tollenaar) Hammond; children, Deborah (Robert) Griffith, Michael Hammond, Lyle A. Hammond Jr., Doug (Teresa) Frishett, Bob (Jamie) Grant; son-in-law, Raymond Bergin; several grand and great grandchildren, including, Thomas A. (Jeff Cave) Serio and Hope (Patrick) Mitchell; siblings Ray (Rosemary) Hammond, Ken Hammond and Bill Hammond; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members at Sanctuary at McAuley. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two children, Michelle Bergin and David Hammond; siblings, Jerome, Harold, Vivian, Geraldine, Martha and Ricky. Lyle retired from American Coil Spring after 38 years of service, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed both hunting and fishing. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. He was a Golden Eagle with the Fruitport Eagles at the corner of Heights Ravenna and Dangl Road where a Celebration of Life Gathering and luncheon will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the activity fund at Sanctuary at McAuley, where Lyle often said, "Bingo, I won."
