Lyle E. Lipka's Obituary
Lyle Edward Lipka, age 97, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018. Lyle was born in Montague on April 30, 1921 to Clayton and Edna Lipka. He is survived by his children, Valarie Brazaski of Montague, Scott (Jeanine) Lipka of Gilbert AZ and Cindy Lipka of North Muskegon; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. Lyle was preceded in death by his wife, Virgilene; son, Gary Lipka; brother, Chuck Lipka and a great-grandson, Gavin. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving as a Chief Boatswains Mate during World War II from 1941 to 1947. Lyle was a life member of VFW Post 3256 in Montague, a member of the Masonic Lodge 198 and had worked at DuPont. A Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
