Major J. Taylor, Jr.'s Obituary
Major John Taylor Jr., age 76, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015. He was born in Jefferson City, MO on April 19, 1939 to Major and Gladys (Kissinger) Taylor. Major is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carol (Byron); two children, Leeann (Toby) Eaton of Portland, OR and Cameron (Luz) Taylor of Muskegon; three grandchildren, Corey (Nicole) Cooper, Patrick Taylor and Viviana Taylor; sister, Beverly Emery of CA; brother, Jim Taylor of CA; many nieces and nephews. Major was raised in Banning, CA and was a lifetime member of Operating Engineers #324 and #302. He had worked on the Alaskan Pipeline and Prudhoe Bay Oil Fields. Major was an active outdoorsmen and member of the Fox Lake Rod and Gun Club and White Lake Eagles Aerie 3214. He enjoyed fishing the many lakes and streams of Michigan. A Memorial Gathering will take place on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:30 PM at the White Lake Eagles, 1204 S. Lake St. in Whitehall, MI. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to a Raptor Rehabilitation organization in your area.
