Marilyn J. DeYoung-Emery's Obituary
Marilyn Joan DeYoung-Emery, age 84, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018. She was born in Jackson, MI on April 17, 1934 to Howard and Irene Stillson. Marilyn is survived by her children, William DeYoung of Montague, MI and Ann Stevens of Tampa, FL; five step-children, Karen (Mike) Bunn, Keith (Patricia) Emery, Steven (Lorraine) Emery, Kathryn (James) Westbrook and Joanne (Chris) Thelen; 11 step-grandchildren and many step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Lloyd DeYoung, Jr.; second husband, Roy S. Emery and by a son-in-law, Karl Stevens. Marilyn graduated from Jackson High School where she continued to stay in touch with her classmates and attend class reunions. She worked as a librarian after receiving her bachelor's degree from Michigan State University. Most of her career was spent working for East Lansing Public Schools and then for Michigan State University. Private family services will be held. Please leave a condolence to the family at
