Mary Kay Cleary, born January 27, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to James C. Brown and Kathleen F. Montefiore, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday September 26, 2024Mary Kay was strong in her Christian faith and cherished being surrounded by family and friends. Known for having the biggest heart, she was a strong and determined woman. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Michael) Johnson; her son, Kevin (Diane) Cleary; and her cherished grandchildren, Stacy, Tyler, Jacob Cleary, and Lauren Palafox. She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren and one more expected in October 2024.Mary Kay was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Cleary, and her former husband of 33 years, Robert Cleary.In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 3rd, at Family Bible Church, 1256 W Broadway Ave, Muskegon, MI, with visitation with family beginning at 10:00 AM.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Harbor Hospice or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.Mary Kay will be remembered for her kindness, loving and genuine spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her.
