Mary Lou Dewald's Obituary
Mary Lou Dewald passed away Wednesday morning at her home. She was born in Holton, Michigan to Bonnie and Chester Smith and was one of 12 children. Mary Lou was a graduate of Muskegon High School class of 1961 and a graduate of Hackley School of Nursing class of 1965. She lived all of her life in the Muskegon area and served her community as a registered nurse for 41 years. Mary Lou is survived in life by her husband, James Dewald, her son, James Jr, her daughter, Ann (Allen) Branch and her 4 grandchildren, Colton, Caleb, Aisling and Audrey. She was a member of Muskegon Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Bonnie Smith, one sister and six brothers. A graveside service for friends and family will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Fruitport. Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice.
