Mary Patricia Spira's Obituary
Mary Spira went to dance with the angels in Heaven on April 9, 2018 at the age of 79. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on December 9, 1938 to the late Willard and Pearl (Marsh) Wibalda. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Spira. Survivors include her children, Robert (Claudia) Huth, Anthony Huth, Rebecca (Gregg) Crenno; stepson, David (Patricia) Pontier; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ben) Cross, Katey Skorupski; Robert (Stacey) Huth, Anthony (Charity
) Gorbach, Jackson (Kristi) Gorbach, William Huth, James Huth; several great and great-great-grandchildren; her beloved fur baby, Sammie Sue; very special friend, Janice Huth; sisters, Eleanor (Dale) Hooker, Carol Johnson, Barb (Robert) Michmerheizen;
the whole Spira Tribe, and many, many friends. Mary was a member of the Muskegon Eagles Women's Drill Team, past Madam President of the Women's Auxiliary of the Muskegon Eagles. She was a member of the Salvation Army where she worked nonstop on the Toys for Tots Christmas Gifts. She would make sure that every
one
of those kids had something to open on Christmas, especially the teens. She also enjoyed volunteering at Hospice and the Rescue Mission. She retired from Wesley School in June of 1999 after 26 years of service. Mary was one of a kind. If you knew her, you loved her, and she shared her love unconditionally. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held later where memories will be shared. So please start writing.
