Matthew Dean Shellgren, age 62 was born on November 7, 1959, and passed away on October 6, 2022. Matthew was preceded in death by a son, Matthew S. Shellgren; his father, Walter Shellgren, and mother, Barbra; brothers, Steve, and John; and sister, Susan. Survivors include his aunt, Charlotte Fisher; children, Courtney (Jeff) Paul, of Greensburg, PA; Tabitha McBeth of PA, Tobias (Casey) Yuhause, of PA, and Josh (Hana) Mator of PA; grandchildren, Elijah, Ethan, Thomas, Raymond, Isla, Emilia, Maddox, Gwen, Nicana, Mikaila; siblings, Walter Shellgren, of TX, Jody Smalley, of PA, Mark Shellgren, of CA, Victoria Essner, and Luke Shellgren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Matthew was a member of Evanston Ave. Baptist Church. Cremation has taken place and a Lantern Release will be held in Pennsylvania on his birthday, November 7, 2022. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to his family in care of his daughter Courtney Paul,95 Glenview Avenue, Greensburg, Pennsylvania 15601
