Maxine Crotty-Phillips' Obituary
Maxine Crotty-Phillips age 90, was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 23, 1932, and passed away on September 27, 2023. In 1949 she married Thomas Crotty Jr., and he preceded her in death in 2008. She was then married to William "Bill" Phillips, Sr., and he preceded her in death in 2021. Along with her husbands she was preceded in death by two children, Susan Crotty, and Thomas Crotty III; and a great-grandson, Andre. Survivors include two children, Jackie (Mike) Venne, and Vincent Crotty; daughter-in-law, Judy Crotty; numerous grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren.
Maxine was a member of Fruitport Christian Reformed Church, 3520 Pontaluna Road, Fruitport, Michigan where services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Huyser officiating. A visitation will be held, also at the church, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Maxine will be interred next to her first husband Thomas Crotty Jr. in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Harbor Hospice Foundation or Fruitport Christian Reformed Church.
