Mayme E. Malmquist's Obituary
Mayme Elaine Malmquist, age 83, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019. She was born in Kaleva, MI on October 6, 1935 to Leonard and Irma Kamppinen. Mayme is survived by her children, Elaine Madison, Steve Manthei, Mark Manthei, Tom (Deb) Manthei, Jim (Shelly) Manthei and Phillip (Gina) Manthei; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Shirley Blakeslee and Carol Klapp; brother, Thomas (Marie) Kamppinen; brother-in-law, John Cribbs; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 27 years, Henry Malmquist and sister, Charmin Cribbs.
Mayme was a retired nurse. She was a member of the West Shore Chorus and the Sweet Adeline's. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Monday, September 16, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Viking Lodge, 3132 Lakeshore Drive in Muskegon. Memorial contributions can be made to the Viking Linne' Lodge #57 Children's Burn Unit.
