Melody Ann Dewey's Obituary
Melody Ann Dewey passed away on March 16, 2025, surrounded by her family. Melody was born on August 1, 1956, to Harvey & Marguerite Baldwin. Melody grew up in Muskegon and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1974. She married Dale Dewey on August 24, 1991. In her younger years, Melody enjoyed bowling with her girlfriends from work, coffee at the round table with friends, and the girls' trips with her sisters & sisters-in-law. Melody was always the life of the party and the family gatherings. She had the best sense of humor. She had a knack for making up the funniest songs, rhythms, or sayings that will stick with those who knew her forever.
Melody's greatest joy in life was being a mother. She was at every game and concert, by far the biggest and loudest cheerleader and supporter of her children. She later found an even greater love: one of being a grandmother. She loved her grandsons beyond measure. She said more times than can be counted, "Those boys are my world. I just love them so much!"
Melody will be missed dearly and loved forever. She is survived by her husband, Dale Dewey; her daughter, Courtney Dyer; her son, Nathan Mollema; her grandsons, Landon Dyer, Camden Dyer, and Dakota Vega; her siblings, Jacqueline Swenson, William Baldwin (Sheila), Michele Graves (Harold); her very special friend, Dede Derby, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Melody was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.
Per Melody's request, there will not be a service. However, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
