Michael F. Enos' Obituary
Michael Frederick Enos of Oaktree Court, Grand Haven, Michigan passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence in Muskegon County, Michigan, with his loving wife, Terri (Lakeman) Enos by his side. Michael "Mike" was born in Lansing, Michigan to Joan Irene (Swayne) and Warner Emmet Enos on March 9, 1960.
His early life was spent in Chicago, Illinois and later, Freeland, Michigan where he attended primary school. At the age of 12 his family relocated to a family farm in Riverton, Twp. in Mason County, Michigan, the ancestral home of both of his parents. Mike enjoyed outdoor pursuits and was especially fond of fishing. A devout follower of Jesus Christ, he was confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Ludington. He attended Mason County Central High School where he was involved in athletics. He was a skilled wrestler and excelled in baseball, at one time pitching a "no-hitter." He maintained his love of the sport throughout his life and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Chicago Cubs up until the end. Michael was a devoted husband and father, a spirited conversationalist who enjoyed discussing history and politics, and was known for his wit and ability to find humor even in the most adverse circumstances.
Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Irene L. Enos and Eugene Enos, his maternal grandparents, Ella and Charles Swayne and his parents. In addition to his spouse, Michael is survived by three siblings, Dale C. Enos, Kenneth E. Enos and Lisa I. Enos; three children, Kristin A. Enos, Marisa K. Enos and Joshua M. Enos, several nieces and nephews, one great-niece and two cats. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to cover burial costs.
