Michael Farmer's Obituary
Michael Anthony Farmer was born in Muskegon, Michigan on March 6, 1961, to Benjamin and Ledora Farmer. He was the twelfth child of their fourteen children.
Michael attended Muskegon Heights Public Schools. At age seventeen, Michael moved to California with his older brothers and attended High School in Los Angeles, California. Hustling and traveling was his passion, and it would have him going back and forth from California to Michigan selling clothes and jewelry out the trunk of his car. His favorite saying was "I'm just trying to get a little gas money to get home."... Michael lived in Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, and Kansas. His favorite place to visit was Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Everyone who knew Michael also knew just how much he loved his children. He would always brag about them to anyone who would listen. Michael's children were his life, he would always make sure to tell them he LOVED them before hanging up the phone.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his four children: La Shanna Farmer, Michael (Nissa) Farmer Jr, Keyisha Farmer and Krystal Farmer. Seven grandchildren: Alazah Wicks, Jibril Farmer, Jy'Marr Braggs, Jamil Farmer, Jamaluddin Farmer, Jannah aka Diva Farmer, and Imran Farmer. Four sisters: Dorothy Trammell, Caroline Briggs, Marinda McCarter and Kathie Farmer. Four brothers: Mujahid Abdul-Karim, Johnie (Essie) Farmer, Donald Farmer and Ricky Farmer. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, sister Diann Farmer, five brothers: Edward Farmer, Jerry Farmer, Alfonzo Farmer, Larry Farmer, and Stevie Farmer.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Please contact LaShanna for funeral details.
