Michael William Sluyter's Obituary
Michael William Sluyter, age 68 was born in Muskegon, Michigan on November 8, 1951 to the late Gert and Clara (Goodrich) Sluyter and passed away on May 9, 2020 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Autum and Harold Drake. Along with his parents, Michael was preceded in death by an infant son, James Sluyter; three brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include three children, Kim (Michelle) Sluyter, Autum (Harold) Drake, Kaley (Bane) Sluyter-Tosic; grandchildren, Korey, Mackenzie, Brenden, Marjorie, Madalyn, Jaxson, and Chase; two brothers, Bert (Barb) Sluyter, Dick (Sue) Sluyter; sister, Donna Dibble; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Brad Sluyter. Michael was retired from GE Aviation and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed both fishing and hunting. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. He will be interred next to his son James, at Laketon Township Cemetery.
