Mildred "Millie" Rasey's Obituary
Mildred M. "Millie"? Rasey passed away peacefully at her son Tom's home with family present on March 8, 2014. Mille truly loved life and reluctantly left this earth to go to her heavenly home. Millie was born on September 11, 1921 to Bertha (Rice) and William Castonia in Ludington, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marge Koepnick and a brother, William Castonia, Jr. Millie was first married to CB Skeels (deceased) and together gave us three children, Carroll Berghuis (deceased), Tom (Shirley) Skeels, and Mary (Ronald) Rop. She cared for and deeply loved her grandchildren, Pam, Bradley, Robert, Kristi, Sarah and Rhonda. She later married Bob Rasey (deceased) and enjoyed her extended family. Besides loving her children, grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, she loved fishing, farming, cooking, canning and feeding all of God's creation. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 451 S. Getty Street, on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church.
