Patrick J. Cavera's Obituary
Patrick John Cavera, age 79, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023. He was born in East Grand Rapids on April 3, 1944, to Joseph and Lori Cavera. Patrick is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly; 2 sons, Joseph (Veronica) Cavera of Marne, MI and John (Shelby) Cavera of CO; 6 grandchildren, Destinee, Ayanna, Dakota, Jayden, Addyson and Dylan; 2 brothers, James (Ann) Cavera of OH and Michael (Lori) Cavera of CA; nephew and godson, Fr. Tom Cavera and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, David and Bob Cavera.
Patrick was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He loved Lake Michigan and was a world traveler. Patrick supported 9 children throughout Uganda and Kenya and 2 families in Ecuador.
Celebrate Pat's life with us on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 11 AM at St. James Catholic Church in Montague, MI with presiding priests, Father Tom Cavera, Father Peter Omogo and Monsignor Gaspar Ancona. We will meet family and friends between 10 AM and 11 AM at the church. A luncheon will follow the Mass.
