Paul Allen Glore's Obituary
Mr. Paul Allen Glore, age 91, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, at Poppen Hospice House of Muskegon. Paul was born in Ferry, Michigan on July 23, 1931, to the late George & Ethel Glore. As a 12 & 13 year old he lived in the Bluffton area and roamed Pigeon Hill sand dune where he spent nights sleeping in the dunes. He would watch the Milwaukee Clipper navigate the Muskegon Lake channel. As an adult Paul loved country music and singing karaoke. He and his wife Clara enjoyed 48 years of marriage. They loved to travel. Some of their trips were by motorcycle as far as Glasgow, Montana and Canada. He was employed with Lift Tech (Shaw Box Crane) where he worked as a crane operator, welder & maintenance man on massive cranes until retirement in 1993. After retirement he and his wife Clara moved to Florida for 19 years. In Florida they found a church home at the Baptist Church of Lake Panasoffkee. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Ravanna and the VFW in Florida. While in Florida they continued their love of travel and went on 6 ship cruises traveling to the Caribbean, Hawaii & Iceland. Paul is survived by his three children, David Glore, Dennis (Trish) Glore and Denise (Joel) McElrath. eight grandchildren, Dean, Dana, Karla, Sadie, Anna, April, Kellen & Kylie. five great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren, his sister Linda (Lonny) Mears, and many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Clara, 4 of his 5 siblings, Irene, Robert, Floelle, & Rosemary & their spouses as well as some nieces & nephews. Paul requested no funeral services, but a private memorial service will be planned for family & friends.
