Paul Rodney Tate, age 62, was born on December 21, 1962, in Escondido, California to Naomi M. Stone and the late Jerry R. Tate. He passed away on May 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
His loved ones include his wife, Becky; mother, Naomi Stone; father, the late Jerry Tate and stepdad, the late Robert Stone, his children, Samantha Tate (fiancé Gordon), Jeff (Rebecca) Tate, Joshua (Kim) Trusty, Ashley Trusty (Holden Shields); his siblings, Ria (Jon) Chaffee and Brian (Kerry) Tate; his uncle, David (Carol) Rodriguez and his dear aunt, Esther Seddig; his grandchildren, Lily, Grayson, Gracie, and Mikaylah; his nieces and nephews and his beloved Kitty.
Paul was passionate about stock car racing, the Lions and the Spartans. He was a quiet soft-spoken guy who loved to tease his family with his dry sense of humor. He was kind and generous with a heart of gold. He was a hard worker always ready to lend a hand. He will be missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
We remember Paul as a truly remarkable individual who faced immense health challenges with incredible bravery. Throughout his journey, he never complained, but instead handled every obstacle with profound grace and quiet strength. His resilience and positive spirit were an inspiration to all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Toys for Tots or Heaven Can Wait Animal Haven. Cremation has taken place, and a private family gathering was held.
