Pete A. Workman's Obituary
Pete A. Workman, age 60 was born in Muskegon, Michigan on March 10, 1961, to the late Edwin and Shirley (Brault) Workman and passed away on February 10, 2022. Pete is survived by two sons, Joshua (Catie) Sternberg and Joshua (Robin Savage) Vanderlaan; four brothers, Rocky (Barb) Workman, Pat (Ginnell) Workman, Dave (Lynn) Workman, Mike Workman, and a large extended family.
His family and friends will especially remember him from all the time he spent working and volunteering at Winston Speedway, Thunderbird Speedway, and various other speedways around the state with announcing & flagging. A highlight to his announcing career was calling his son's feature win. Along with that, Pete loved to do Stand-Up comedy and was commonly known as a jokester. If he wasn't making jokes or announcing a race, you could expect to see him jamming out to some rhythm & blues. He had previously worked for Padnos Recycling in Muskegon and Sprague's Auto Parts.
Pete made an anatomical donation to Gift of Life of Michigan. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on March 12th, 2022 from 1-4pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #668 on Western Ave in Downtown Muskegon, MI.
