Phyllis Arlene Gonyon's Obituary
Phyllis Arlene Gonyon, age 69 was born on July 31, 1954, and passed away on May 13, 2024, at the age of 69. Phyllis grew up in Reman, Michigan, near Fremont, on a farm where she and her family had horses.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Fredrick "Fred" Gonyon; children, Fredrick "Fred" (Megan) Gonyon, of Muskegon and Amanda (Nick) Gonyon, of Muskegon; grandchildren, Aubree, Kaiden, Lyla, and Paul; siblings, Denise Smith, Dean (Heidi) Bialik and Jean (Dennis) Bushie.
She was a member of All Shores Wesleyan Church. She retired from housekeeping at University Park Nursing home in Muskegon. Her joys in life included her kids, grandkids, dogs (Roxy and Cody), multiple fish aquariums, cooking, baking, and gardening. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Wolf Lake Park Pavilion #2. Memorial contributions may be directed to Pound Buddies in Muskegon or CancerCare.
