Raymond Wilson Lightfoot Jr.'s Obituary
With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for his life, we celebrate Raymond Wilson Lightfoot Jr., who went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2026, at the age of 52. Born on August 23, 1973, Ray was a lifelong resident of Muskegon, Michigan.
As a cherished husband and father whose world revolved around his loved ones, he was a steady anchor. As a son, brother, uncle, and friend, he was quick with a joke, followed by his wonderful laugh. His absence will be felt deeply by those who loved him.
A true genius at the pool table, he possessed a rare gift for strategy and skill. He had a vivid imagination, fueled by a passion for science fiction, fantasy, and the intricate worlds of strategic battle games. He didn’t just play games; he built adventures and shared his wonder with everyone around him.
Ray is survived by his devoted wife of over 30 years, Carol Lightfoot, and his beloved son, Samuel Mack Lightfoot. He is also remembered with deep affection by his sisters, Alexis (Tim) White and Selina (Gary) White, along with his many nieces and nephews, and his faithful companion, Pheobe Cat.
Ray has been reunited with those who went before him, including his sons, “RayRay,” Raymond Wilson Lightfoot III, and Luke Matthew Lightfoot; mother, Bobbie Lightfoot; father, Raymond Lightfoot Sr., a brother; and a sister. Though they were taken too soon, we find comfort in knowing they are together once more.
Cremation has taken place. The family will have a private gathering at a later date.
