Raymond W. Sellers' Obituary
Raymond W. Sellers, age 69, passed away June 3, 2023, after a short illness.
He was born September 8, 1953, to Floyd and Ruth (Betts) Sellers in Benton Harbor.
A 1972 graduate of Benton Harbor High School, it was while participating in a theatre play at Lake Michigan College that Ray first met the love of his life Susan. On December 28,1974, Ray and Susan married. Their union was blessed with a son Paul, and a daughter, Jaime.
Ray truly enjoyed his career in clinical engineering, before retiring in 2014. Outside of work, he was devoted to his wife and family. His other interests included photography, motorcycling, and music. His love of music led to public performances, often accompanied by his own guitar or piano skills. His excellent bass voice was a welcome addition to many a church worship service.
Family members and friends will remember Ray's unique sense of humour, his love of family, his music and photography.He is survived by his wife of 49 years Susan D. (Gordon) Sellers, his son Paul (Chrisma) Sellers, his daughter Jaime (Brett) Sloan; his grandchildren Dylan and Mavis Sellers, Aiden, Wesley, and Sydney Sloan, two sisters Jeanette (Elton) Holloway and Lydia (Michael) Tabby. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Ruth (Betts) Sellers, and his sister Colleen (John) Wheat.
A private celebration of Ray's life will take place at a later date.
