Raymond "Ray" A. Shaw, a man who was dedicated to helping people in work, business, and social settings, was born on September 16, 1949, in Muskegon, Michigan. He was the son of the late George A. and Virginia G. (Rakowski) Shaw. Ray passed away on July 28, 2023, at the age of 73. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Larsen.
Surviving are his two children, Adam Shaw, and Emily (Chris) Halloran; four grandchildren, Shaw, Vann, Wren, and Ford; two siblings, Gerry (Sharon) Shaw, and Judy (Edward) Pietila; brother-in-law, Roger Larsen; and his cherished former spouse, Diane Shaw, who remained a supportive and loving presence in his life.
Raymond was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired social worker from the State of Michigan. He had a deep love for outdoor activities including camping and finding joy in running, funning, and sunning. His yard was a testament to his love of the outdoors, a place he spent countless hours gardening.
