Robert D. Crawford's Obituary
Robert Duane Crawford Sr. (Bob) age 90, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 31, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born April 17, 1934, to Fredrick and Irene (Riordan) Crawford. Bob was a lifelong resident of Twin Lake, MI. He married his wife of 70 years, Carolyn (Evans) Crawford, in Twin Lake on April 3rd. 1954.
Bob retired from the Twin Lake Office of the Muskegon County Road Commission. He was also a past member of the Twin Lake Gun Club. Deer hunting was a lifelong passion that he passed on to his children and grandchildren.
Bob's survivors are his wife Carolyn and five children; Bob Jr. (Tresa) Crawford, Bryan (Kim) Crawford, William (Rebecca) Crawford, Bradley Crawford, and Kathy (Jody) Woodruff.
Fourteen grandchildren; Jennifer Crawford, Crystal (Mike) Kittel, Bob III (Angela) Crawford, Levi (Hannah) Bogue, Zachariah (Corinna) Bogue, Alexis (Elijah) Harris, Amber Crawford, Bethany (Shan) White, Terry (Angela) Crawford, Yolanda (Dan) Blaser, Tasha (Andrew) Heykoop, Heather (Ken) Kelly, Josh (Ashley) Woodruff and Tiffany Woodruff.
Thirty-Three great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild and one brother Howard (Jan) Crawford. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be held at Blue Lake Community Church, at 10981 Blue Lake Rd. Holton MI 49425 on Friday, September 6th at 11:30 am to 12 noon. A luncheon to immediately follow. The graveside service will be at the Twin Lake Cemetery at 2pm. The visitation will be on Thursday, September 5th at Shoreline Memorial Services at 816 S. Mears Ave. Whitehall MI 49461 from 5pm to 8pm.
