Robert Burr Downs' Obituary
Robert Burr Downs, age 92, of Norton Shores, formerly of Alma, passed away on January 17, 2024 at the Poppen Hospice Residence in Muskegon. He was born on September 22, 1931 to William and Edna (Brooks) Downs.
Robert served in the Marines during the Korean War. He graduated from Central Michigan University and was employed by Hitachi Magnetics in Edmore until his retirement.
Survivors include his children Linda Kleinhardt (Daniel) of Farwell, James of Norton Shores, John Thomas Zakala Downs of Vestaburg, and Melissa Zakala Downs (Dylan Cogswell) of Hawaii; grandsons Robert and Kyle; and three great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Jane Lenz.
Robert was cremated according to his wishes and no service will be held.
