Robert C. Eikenberry's Obituary
Robert C. Eikenberry (Ike), age 85, left this world on Sunday, October 15, 2017, to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born to Cleatus and Daisy (Bradford) Eikenberry in Muskegon, and married the former Joyce Garvey on December 22, 1951. Together they had five children. Bob was a Navy veteran who served in the Korean War. He attended Ferris State College, and was employed at the Muskegon Chronicle for many years until his retirement. Bob was a champion table tennis player, loved watching sports, and in his later years, enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by four daughters; Debra (Dan) Bowyer, Brenda (Bob) Hekkema, Pam (Craig) Cramblet, and Lori Working. He is also survived by four brothers; Larry (Lorraine) Eikenberry, Roger (Jan) Eikenberry, Tom (Joan) Eikenberry, and David (Vicki) Eikenberry. Bob is also survived by ten grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 57 years, Joyce, and his son, Bruce. As per Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a small family celebration of Bob's life will be held. Memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to Olivet Evangelical Free Church at 6790 Harvey Rd., Spring Lake, MI 49456.
