Robert D. Thompson's Obituary
Robert Dale Thompson, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.
He was born in Allegan, MI on September 25, 1937 to Charles and Jennie Thompson.
Robert is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma (Clawson); 2 sisters, Pat Kingma of Hudsonville and Sandy Thompson of Holland; children, Terri (Bruce) Bond of Whitehall, Gary (Terri) Thompson of Wayland, Bill (DeAnne) Thompson of Zeeland, Karen (David) Scroggins of CA and Chris (Jessica) Thompson of HI; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a daughter, Mandy Coffey. Robert was a graduate of Owosso Bible College and served as a pastor of several churches in the Wesleyan denomination. He enjoyed motorcycling, fishing, camping, gardening and hunting.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Wesleyan Church, 1761 N. Roberts Rd., Muskegon, MI 49445. Pastor Chad Fessenden officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
