We remember Rod fondly. Our first time to get to know Rod was at church. He attended and supported us as we hosted ‘Care Group’ at our home when we first started attending Central Assembly. Rod came every week and his quiet and kind leadership and support meant the world to us. Rod was always a voice of reason and wisdom. He was described in his obituary as someone who didn’t always talk much but when he did, he shared wisdom and perspective that we all listened to and learned from; this is a perfect description of who we know Rod to be.
Rod was an example of God’s goodness to all who knew him. He lived his faith and didn’t waiver from it; regardless of the situations of life that were challenging and stressful.
Heaven is sweeter as Rod is there and we look forward to seeing him again when we get there. We love Rod and Barb and are so thankful God allowed us to know them and call them our friends.
