Ron Kuykendall's Obituary
Ron Kuykendall, 81, of Little Point Sable, Shelby, MI, passed away January 4, 2021. He was born May 17, 1939, in Harvey, IL to John and Mattie Kuykendall. He attended Thornton Township High School, playing football and baseball, graduating in 1957. He attended U. of IL, was a part of Sigma Nu fraternity and ROTC, graduating in 1962. In 1963, He married Jeanne Armour and went on to serve in the 82nd Airborne, stationed in West Berlin, Germany. Ron spent much of his adult life traveling as a computer software salesman- enjoying meeting people, spinning a story, and trying to get lost and come across some local joint. He spent many hours coaching his kids' softball, basketball, soccer and football teams. He lived and wandered many places and retired at Little Point Sable, MI. Ron is predeceased by his wife, Jeanne, and survived by their four children: Scott of Woodstock, IL; Anne of Shelby, MI; Julie of Shelby, MI; and Jim (wife Amy and granddaughters Mattie and Ada) of Brookfield, IL.
