Roy Nelson Whitten Sr.'s Obituary
Roy Nelson Whitten Sr. Roy was born in Muskegon to the late Melvin and Mary Whitten on August 26, 1949, and passed away on April 19, 2026, at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence in Muskegon. Along with his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his sisters, Beatrice and Beverly. Survivors include his children, Roy (Kammie) Whitten Jr., Erin Whitten, Ryan (Niki) Whitten, and Chad (Kellie) Whitten; grandchildren, Ethan, Savannah, Seth, Shiloh, Addison, Finley, and Emery; as well as his sisters, Nancy, Ola, Mary and a brother, Melvin Whitten Jr.
Roy is retired from Herman Miller. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held later. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Muskegon County Veteran Food Bank.
