Russell "Rusty" D. Sugarbaker's Obituary
Russell (Rusty) Duane Sugarbaker, age 58, passed away on Sunday July 14, 2024. He was born in Muskegon on September 8, 1965, to Duane and Darlene Sugarbaker. He is survived by his children Heather Halley (Jake), Russell (Myranda) and Andrew Sugarbaker; 4 grandchildren, Tristyn, Brennen, Logan, and Harper; stepmother Ellen Sugarbaker; brother Mark Sugarbaker. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Pamela Watson and Leisa Shaner. Rusty worked 40 years at Michigan Spring and Stamping. Rusty's hobbies included watching NASCAR (Rusty Wallace was his favorite), hunting in Baldwin, and taking to the open road on his Harley-Davidson. Rusty's passion for riding was evident from his attendance at Rebel Road in Muskegon to his trips to the Mackinac Bridge. His friends in the motorcycle community became family and shared his "live life to the fullest" mentality. His absence will be greatly felt by the many people whose lives he touched while his memory is forever cherished. Rusty's final resting place will be in Fruitport Pine Hill Cemetery with his parents and sister.
