Ruth (Belrose) Dennis July 17, 1939-March 28, 2020
Ruth was the daughter of Russell and Grace Belrose and the second of nine children.
Ruth married Doster "Doc" Dennis November 1957. Together they raised a family of 6 children; Cindy Wolf, Mark Dennis, Jim (Ellie) Dennis, Joe (Dana) Dennis, Annette Dennis, and Edward Dennis. Ruth was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Doc and her son Mark. She is survived by her immediate family as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends.
Ruth lived her entire life in the Muskegon and Whitehall area. She retired from Whitehall school district where she drove a school bus for 24 years. She enjoyed crocheting and crafts, and her numerous pets over the years. Her favorite pastime was playing her guitar and singing at Mass at Saint Mary of the Woods Catholic Church where she was a member since 1957.
Her family would like to thank the staff at SKLD nursing home in Whitehall for the past year of comfort, care and companionship, and their sincere appreciation for the gentle and compassionate staff at Harbor Hospice's Poppen House.
In lieu of flowers please send any donations to St Mary of the Woods woman's club.
Services will be held at a later date at St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Lakewood Club.
