Ruth Ann Kimbrough's Obituary
Ruth Ann Kimbrough (Nichols) of Bitely, Michigan died peacefully at her daughter's home in Muskegon on September 19, 2017 at the age of 82. Ruth was born on October 10, 1934 in Dover, Michigan the late Frank and Lovie Nichols. Ruth is survived by her children, Lora (Donny) Carpenter, Melvin (Betty) Kimbrough, Danny Jo (Wendy) Wasilchenko, Linda Taylor, Cindy (Herb) Heide; grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe) Gemzer, Tabitha (Trucky) Woodard, Lauren, Jacob Kimbrough, Chad (Michelle)Tayler, Tara, Cody and Chase Wasilchenko and nine great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Melvin Kimbrough Sr., they had been married for 35 years. Ruth worked as a seamstress for General Motors, along with being an entrepreneur, owning two local taverns and a used car dealer for 35 years. While living in Bitely she drove a long-haul cargo van for 12 years, while owning rental properties for 60 years. Ruth loved working, casino's, country music, dancing, racing, carnivals and spending time with her great grand-children, Cameron, Gracelyn, Kevin and Andrew and her pal Bob. Ruth was a Seventh Day Adventist, she attended classes at Love Inc. and Twice Feed Bible Study at Bethany Church, 1105 Terrace Street, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Twice Feed Program at Bethany Church.
