Samuel L. Kimball's Obituary
Samuel Louis Kimball, 85 of Twin Lake, Michigan went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at home.
Sam was born on March 6, 1938, to the late Raymond and Marian (Lyons) Kimball of Grand Haven, Michigan. Early on, Sam discovered a natural talent as a mechanic. He had a love for fixing and restoring vehicles and rightfully earned the nick name "speed king."
Sam was a trained civil defense volunteer, which proved useful throughout his life as he helped many people during emergencies.
An avid fisher and hunter, Sam was never short of adventurous stories that included friends and family. Most importantly, he will be remembered for his strength and love.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, sister Rae-Lynn, infant son Samuel Kimball Jr., and his wife of 57 years Nancy L. Kimball. He is survived by his brother Larry (Ken) Kimball, five daughters, Sherrie (David) Shaw, Karla (Mike) Widing, Julie (Kenny) Coker, Renee (Steve) Klingler, Mary (Shawn) Young, his best friend and black lab Jefferson. He has 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Shoreline Memorial Services, Whitehall Chapel, located at 816 S. Mears Ave. Whitehall, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pound Buddies thru their website at https://www.poundbuddies.org/donate or you can mail it to them at 3279 E.
