Sandra L. Galy's Obituary
Sandra L Galy (formerly VanderLeest) went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday August 25, 2018. Sandy was born to Jack and Barbara (Bartz) Lamb. She attended Mona Shores High School. She married Garry VanderLeest in 1963 and had three daughters. She was an amazing mother and devoted many years to staying at home and raising her children. She married Joseph Galy in 1992 and they recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. She is survived by: her loving husband Joe; her 3 daughters, Shari (Bob) Evans, Amy VanderLeest and Julie (David) Erickson; step children, Brenda (Will) Snyder, Bill (Courtney) Galy, Aaron Galy, and Michelle Seekins; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were each her favorite and brought her so much joy; her brothers and sisters, Jack Lamb, Bonnie Koehler, Terri (Gary) Curtis and Brad Lamb; and many nieces and nephews. She attended Faith Bible Church and worked and volunteered at the Muskegon Rescue Mission for many years. Per Sandys request cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be Thursday August 30, 2018 at the Evangelical Covenant Church of Whitehall, 900 S Warner Street, Whitehall, MI 49461. Visitation will be at the church at 2:00pm with the service immediately following at 3:00pm with Tom Beeghly officiating. Memorial donations can be made in Sandys name to the Muskegon Rescue Mission, 400 W Laketon Ave, Muskegon, MI 49441 or Harbor Hospice, 1050 W Western Ave, Suite 400, Muskegon, MI 49441.
