Sandra Lee Vanas (King), age 79, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020. She was born in Muskegon on January 10, 1941 to Darrell and Pearl "Babe" Grace King. She married her school sweetheart, Roy L. Vanas, on February 27
th
, 1960. Sandra is survived by her 3 children, Dori Carnes (Steve ), Byron (April) Vanas and Roy Vanas, all of Muskegon; grandchildren, Jack Steel (Cynthia), Sara Maddox, Crystal Ward (Brandon), Jennifer Vanderlip (Jason), Kristina Vanas, Brooke Whelpley (Christopher), Jessica Hudson (Richard), Desirae Vanas (Ricky), Dakota, Devon, and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Sophie Rose, Destiny, Jasmine, Dayton, Chevy, Madison, Jaxon, Gabrielle, Danielle, James, Charity, Layla, Jaelynn, Carson, Alexandria Dawn, Paige, Ethan and Elijah; sisters, Gloria Furhman of Schoolcraft, MI, Angela (Greg) Karch of Richmond, IN, Ella Curtis of Clearwater, FL, Rosie (Bruce) King-McCallister of Freedom, IN and Alice King of Ann Arbor, MI; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband of 39 years, Roy L. Vanas; sisters, Delores Manchester and Laura Eastling; brothers, Donald and David King and granddaughter, Wynter Sheffer.
Sandra had worked at Zephyr Inc. She enjoyed ice cream, scenic drives, casinos, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Interment will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery.
