Sharon Lee Dodge's Obituary
Sharon Dodge "Sherry", age 71, loving mother of four and adoring wife to Husband Alfred Dodge, passed away in the evening hours of April the 13th after a courageous battle with numerous health issues including open heart surgery and kidney failure. Sharon was born in 1950 in Muskegon, Michigan and grew up surrounded by her large family. Sherry had three sisters and two brothers, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Sherry was well known as a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others, and she incorporated that into her motherhood. She met her husband Al in 1992 and they fell in love instantly and knew they both shared a love for family and decided to blend theirs, which then made room for three wonderful boys as her sons, and Sherry's three living children as Al's. Together they had six children. As a mother she was generous, loving and kind. She would go without any time her children were in need. She would rather see others happy than to have material things, and money never mattered to her. Sherry became a grandmother in 1994. She since has added many more grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In Sherry's free time she loved to camp, enjoy the river, craft, paint, sing, sew and more. She was a talented and intelligent woman who obtained her degree in Marketing at Muskegon Business College in 1987. She loved to be with family and making memories. When she retired she provided childcare needs to all of her grandchildren any time it was needed, often full time. She loved every minute with her family. She was fun loving, full of laughter and good times. Sherry's family and friends adored her and wanted nothing more than to see her happy. Sherry's love was a constant warm embrace. She will forever be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Sherry is preceded in death by her son Michael Paul Aumiller, Mother Therese Smith, Father Chuck Hiddema, her Brother Greg Bosch and Brother In-law Pete Brown.
Sharon is survived by her six children, Pete (Jennifer) Peters, Stacy (John) Lau, Amber Aumiller, Mike (Lynette) Dodge, Corbett Dodge, Trevor (Tara) Dodge. Her Grandchildren, Sharon, Joey, Bronson, Drew, Sabrina, Sylvia, Kenyan, Christian, Kihley, Cole, Ayonna, Asher, Madison, Wyatt, Evan and Miles as well as great grandchildren; Stacie, Olivia and Allistair. Her Sisters; Kathy, Ruth, Patricia and her brother Jack (Marla) Bosch.
A Celebration of life will be held in July at her favorite place (camp). Invites will be sent as details are confirmed. It is Sherry's wish to celebrate her life with music and laughter (a party).
