Shelva "Shelby" Jean Sigler's Obituary
Shelva "Shelby" Jean (Jack) Sigler was born to Sylvia and Charles Jack on March 29, 1940, in Greenbrier County, West Virginia. She attended Rupert High School where she graduated with honors in 1957. Jean married Gerald Laverne Sigler on December 11, 1958. Jean and Jerry filled their home with four children that Jean raised in Ravenna, Michigan.
Jean was a retiree of the United States Postal Service, and also worked at Herman Miller. Jean was known and loved by many as "Pomm". Jean spent the last several months at the home of her daughter Kim and Kim's husband Jesse. Jean loved gardening, counting her chickens, family gatherings, watching sports with Jesse and enjoying her family.
She is survived by her sons, Timothy, Gerald (Nannette), Randall (Bridgette) and Kimberly Beth (Jesse) Pratt; grandchildren, Delilah (Jared Ellis) Burian, Melissa (Nic) Ropotos, Joshua (Jai) Pratt, Chrystal (Clayton) Lowder, Ryan (Elaine) Sigler, Colton (Samantha) Sigler, Brook Sigler, Ben Sigler, and Emma (Austin Decker) Pratt; great grandchildren, Peyton Loomis, Jack and Owen Lowder, Ian Loomis, Emma Hall, Niah Pratt, Dylan Sigler, Erik Sigler, Rex Ropotos and Kingston Decker.
A Graveside Service for Jean will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Restlawn Cemetery in Muskegon, Michigan where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Jerry.
