Shirley Mae Alvord's Obituary
Shirley Mae Alvord, age 87, was born in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Carl W. and Helen A. (Matjovitz) Hullinger and passed away on October 29, 2019.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Edward Ray Alvord.
Surviving are two children, Cindy (Kevin) McClurken, James (Susan) Alvord; grandchildren, Leah (Michael) Tamasa, Reagan (Ian) Robinson, Alison (Josh) Yates, Tania Bortolussi; great grandchildren, Cassandra, Steven, Ethan, Zachary; sister, Karen Harwood; several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was a member of Widows Together and enjoyed working as an Usher at the Frauenthal Theater.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at Community United Methodist Church, located at 1614 Ruddiman Drive in North Muskegon on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
with the Reverend Jeremy Williams and Reverend Sandi Harryman officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Harbor Hospice Foundation, or Appalachian Service Project.
Envelopes will be available at the service.
